Kevin Young, Trumpet: Kevin is currently a student at Mars Hill College and plays first chair trumpet with their Jazz Band, Wind Symphony, and Brass Quintet, as well as filling in when needed for the Asheville Jazz Orchestra. Kevin is a motivated student who wants to keep the musical tradition of wind bands alive and motivate students to find their inner music voice. He understands the 'Aha' moment when the music, the notes and the instrument all come together for the individual and looks forward to helping each student discover that moment for themselves.
